PokerSaints July tip: Stealing the blinds!

The middle stages of a poker tournament can be a tortuous and tedious experience for even the most seasoned pro. The long trek toward the money, combined with a variety of potentially tricky scenarios you may face along the way, make it difficult to come up with one sure-fire strategy to help you through. That said, one aspect of mid-tourney play that’s extremely important is picking up pots pre-flop.

If you’ve been card dead in the first few levels you may only have as many chips as what you started with, or you may have been lucky enough to double or triple up early on. You may be minutes or hours away from making the money, depending on the number of entrants, and the average chip stack may be 20, 30 or even 40BB, based on the structure.

No matter what the situation is, however, it’s important to remember that once the blinds start to represent a decent percentage of your stack, you want to steal as much as possible. Raising the blinds a fair amount also balances your play and gets your big hands paid off more often. You’ll lose a few of your raises with speculative hands when people come over the top of you or call, but you’ll win a few as well, and raising will convince people to play back at you on those times when you happen to have big hands.

Endurance Challenge (€30,000)

In July three endurance challenges are arranged.

All players who earn 140 VIP or more every day (00:00:00 CET to 23:59:59 CET) from the 1st of July to the 10th of July will equally split a prize pool of €10,000.

All players who earn 100 VIP or more every day (00:00:00 CET to 23:59:59 CET) from the 11th of July to the 20th of July will equally split a prize pool of €10,000.

All players who earn 60 VIP or more every day (00:00:00 CET to 23:59:59 CET) from the 21st of July to the 30th of July will equally split a prize pool of €10,000.

All winnings are paid out directly to the players' accounts after the challenges are finished. The list of players will be updated every morning from the 3rd of July, 13th of July and 23rd of July respectively at www.entractionpromo.com.

FIFA World Cup Specials

FIFA World Cup Specials We are giving away prizes to a value of €7,500 in the World Cup lottery. All you have to do is place a bet on the World Cup in the regular or live betting and you will receive a ticket for the drawing. The prizes are 15 buy-ins worth €200 for the €150,000 Guarantee poker tournament held the first Sunday of the month and 3 seats for EMOP Barcelona!  You receive one ticket every time a bet of €5 or more is placed on the regular betting or the live betting. You are automatically registered in the lottery so you don't have to send a mail to support. 

PERIOD OF THE COMPETITION
1st stage runs between June 11th and June 18th and includes eight days of the World Cup group stage. The 2nd stage runs between June 19th and June 25th and includes seven days and is also a part of the World Cup group stage.  The 3rd stage is the final stage of the World Cup between June 26th and July 11th and includes all matches from 1/8-final to the final on June 11th. The number of tickets that could be received is eight (8) in the first stage, seven (7) in the second stage and 16 in the last one, making it a total of thirty-one (31) tickets.

PRICES FOR THE COMPETITION
After each stage five (5) winners will be drawn and will receive buy-ins for the €150,000 Guarantee poker tournament that is held the first Sunday each month. The prize is worth €200 each and a total of fifteen (15) buy-ins will be awarded during the competition.  As a major prize for the entire World Cup we will give away three (3) seats to EMOP Barcelona September 23rd to September 26th worth €2,000. The package includes €1,100 for the tournament buy-in and €350 will be credited your account as travel contribution. The package also consists of a four night stay at a high standard hotel.

EXAMPLE If you place a bet on €5 or more on the June 11th, 14th and 21st you will receive two tickets for the drawing in the first stage and one in the second drawing. You also receive three tickets for the final drawing for the EMOP seats.

The leaderboard is divided into three different levels: Low €1 - <€10, Medium €10 - <€50 and High €50+. All Sit & Go tournaments except Double or Nothing (DoN) will count towards the leaderboards.

Entraction will arrange five Raked Hands sprint races in July, which will be running during 3 days each.

The top player that play the most raked hands in each race can claim an EMOP Bulgaria package that consists of €1,100 tournament buy-in, accommodation in a nice hotel for five nights and €350 for travel expenses that is credited to the players poker account.
